Velodrome

Michigan’s only velodrome for bicycle riding and racing opened in 2002. The track is an open-air, 1/8th mile wooden oval with 13-degree straight-aways and 44-degree banked turns. Racing bicyclists can reach speeds up to 42 mph. Tiered grassy seating gives spectators a close view of the track.
