Tigers lefty Kenny Rogers has surgery to remove blood clot, out until July
Tags:Detroit Tigers No Comments »

LAKELAND, Fla. — Kenny Rogers had surgery Friday to remove a blood clot from his left shoulder and repair arteries, and the Detroit Tigers pitcher likely will be sidelined for the first half of the season.
The 42-year-old left-hander had the operation in Dallas. He is expected to start throwing in six-to-eight weeks and Tigers president Dave Dombrowski said the earliest Rogers would return to the rotation is July.
Detroit placed Rogers on the 15-day disabled list Thursday. Chad Durbin, who made the team as a reliever, will move into the Tigers’ rotation.

Bulk Change Google AdSense Ads From Broad to Exact or Vice Versa
Tags:Geek Blog, SEO Blog No Comments »
I recently had to change some ads we were running on Google from broad match to exact. Well we have 100’s of ads on Google alone so I called our rep and they walked me through a painless update process which I’ve outlined below.
1. Under Campaign management select tools enter you keyword and selected campaigns at the top.
2. Under, “Specify Changes to perform,” select your match type.

3. Next a page with all your matches will come up. Select the keywords to apply your match to and hit continue.

4. You will see this page. If all is well hit continue.

5. On this page any errors or keywords that do not change will be listed.

Viola…Hope this helped. Thanks Google Adwords Support!

Thunderbird - Start My Reply Above The Quote
Tags: email, firefox, mozilla, thunderbird, tipsGeek Blog No Comments »

I’ve been getting complaints that my messages were not coming through since I started using Thunderbird. What was happening is my replies were showing at the bottom of my emails.
I must have at some point set Thunderbird to reply messages to, “start my reply below the quote”. I’m not sure if I screwed up or this is the default, but below are directions on how to change this.
In the menu at the top of the screen in Thunderbird, go to
Tools —> Account Settings —–> Composition & Addressing, in the Composition dialog box
Make sure that the check box for “Automatically quote the original message when relying then, Start my reply above the quote.
If you set up your Thunderbird like this it will place your reply at the top everytime.
