So once again it’s time for another Blog Sneeze. I learned about sneeze pages on Pro Blogger. It’s a way to drive traffic to your more popular posts. I used WhosAmungUs and Google Analytics to determine popularity. So without further adue here’s today’s sneeze.
I uploaded some of my original artwork to a Flickr Account a while ago and forgot they were up here. I figured I’d post a few images here to peak folks interest.
With the new incarnation of NateBal.com one of my many upgrades were custom error pages that didn’t just have redirect code that spit you back to my homepage. My custom error pages are set up with links to some of my more popular posts and categories. Rather than just spitting my users back to my homepage using:
meta HTTP-EQUIV=”REFRESH” content=”0; url=http://www.yourdomain.com/index.html
Your 404 pages can be powerful traffic tools if you let them. After I deleted a post I noticed I was getting a number of errors showing up in AWStats. Realizing that my users were hitting my 404 more often got me thinking I should maybe add some links here to more popular parts of my blog.
Since the addition of these pages I’ve noticed an incline in users as well as them staying for a longer duration. It’s quick, easy and it works!
I got a lot of response from my last post so I decided to post a few more pictures of Michigan in the winter time. This has been a particularly snowy year for us here. We got over 14 inches on new years and it doesn’t seem to be letting up.
These shots are from my ride home yesterday. This is why people from the midwest drive big trucks. I have no idea what’s wrong with me.
Just a few shots from a road trip I took this weekend. I traveled from Auburn Hills to Grand Rapids on Friday. Got stuck over-night in GR due to a snow storm. Then drove another 2 1/2 hours North to Traverse City through another snow storm to hang out in -8° windy winter weather. It was actually a lot more fun than it sounds. Here’s a few pics from the road.
Ronald Jenkees is a YouTube up and coming sensation. I’ve been following his site and videos for the past few months now. He’s a very skilled pianist and beat mixer. His music ranges from hip hop to techno to twisted movie soundtrack.
His mashups include excerpts from Monday night football, Halloween, Unsolved Mysteries and Rocky to name a few. This is a neat video of how he creates his so called, “beats”. Enjoy.
Aussie teen Corey Worthington threw a massive party with 100’s of kids while his parents were out of town on holiday. This clip is great because he is obviously proud of what he did. He was asked what his parents thought and he replied he wasn’t answering the phone as they were obviously pissed.
The party disturbed what looks to be a good majority of the surrounding neighbors homes. Cars were damaged, property ruined and the parents face possibly $20,000.00 in fines.
Corey bare-chested sporting a nipple ring, blonde messy hair and baseball hat and sunglasses claimed it was the best party ever so far. It looks as if this interview was taped the morning after the shin-dig. Snot nosed punk…You betcha, but I appreciate his candor and youtube clip.
They say if you don’t like the weather just wait. Here’s picture proof of just that.
This is my car on January 1st , New Years Day. We had a snow storm the night before and had 12 inches of the white stuff dumped on us.
And then it got rainy and foggy for a few days.
And this is the same car 11 days later.
Just after the storm I had to bring my car in for general maintenance. They rented me an F150 fire engine red monster truck. The thing sucked gas like no other. Would have been nice to have 2 weeks ago when i was busy digging my car out of the snow.
Well the forecast looks like snow again in the very near future and I once again am reunited with my winter death trap.
