I’m really digging Map My Ride. This track is from Seymour Lake Park. It was to windy to play all 18, but I still got a decent track from the park to play with.

Having troubles opening Office 2007 files? Your version of Word doesn’t seem to know what to do with .docx file? Being an IT guy I keep running into this issue as people start upgrading their Office Suites.
The Issue:
“Microsoft introduced the .docx file format in its new Office and Word applications and wants it to replace the commonly used doc format. The problem with the change from doc to docx is that many users are still working with prior versions of Word or no Microsoft product at all and face the problem that they can’t load the docx file because it is not supported in their application.”

The Solution:
Microsoft has released, “Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office System“, which clears this problem up nicely.

Here are some pics from the last few days along with a super cool new feature which I’ll be reviewing soon called Map My Ride. It’s a neat online application that can import GPX files from your GPS and trace your biking or hiking routes.
It will tell you mileage, elevation, calculate calories burned and even let you mark your own points of interest such as places to get water, rest, eat, etc. You also have the option to create your own route by hand (see below).
My new tires which I’m completely thrilled with. Thanks Squidoo!

Thorns from this weekend which I was less than thrilled with.

This is why my legs are so torn up right now.

I was bouncing around the net trying to find some easy, “Copy and Paste”, code to add Sociable type functionality to my Blogger blog and had little luck locating code that actually did what it said it would. So I set to the task of writing something that would.
Below is some simple code you can copy and paste into your Blogger template to add the following group of social networks to your Blogger web sites.
Socialize this post

Step by step directions
1. Access your Blogger dashboard and click on the layout tab. Select the, “Edit HTML“, sub tab.

2. Make sure, “Expand Widget Templates“, is selected. You can also revert to your defaulted widget template by clicking the revert button on the bottom.
3. Look for the following strip of code in your template.
4. Past the code below after this tag and hit preview.

So far I’ve only watched part one about religion, but the similarities they bring up with other religions and there connection to the Zodiac Calendar are compelling arguments for religion being more about astronomy and sun worship than faith.
One interesting point they bring up is the idea of, “End of Days”, or the Apocalypse. They break down what the bible says about the end of time and how it was mis-interpreted. There will be an end to the age of Pisces; which we are in right now, but that will make way for the new age of Aquarius which is the next astrological age.
Zeitgeist - is originally a German expression that means “the spirit of the age”, literally translated as “time (Zeit) spirit (Geist)”

This is a 48-page ebook containing a scientific investigation of some of the facts from Part 1 of the ZEITGEIST movie, dealing with the comparisons of ancient religions and Christianity. Provided by comparative religion scholar Acharya S.
“This work helps lift the veil of suppression in regard to the truth behind the Christian religion and its Egyptian origins.”
“Our appreciation should now evolve to the understanding of the mythical developments of the ancient world and their metaphorzeitgeist, zodiac, religion, politicsic foundations; not with the establishment dogma, which exists as a perversion of the original knowledge and poetry.”

There’s a stretch of trail I frequent that resides in and outside of Bloomer Park. It runs down both sides of the Clinton river in Rochester and ends up by Yates Cider Mill. Some great little technical trails blazed by salmon fisherman of all people.
There’s a lot of quick runs, log pyramids and down right awesome scenery out here. However, if you do any riding out this way watch yourself. There are a lot of trees down due to incliment winter weather, but mostly there’s a ton of beaver-downed trees. See pics below.

This is just one corner close to the damn near Dequindre. Keep your eyes on the trail. This one snuck up on us pretty quick. I’m not sure why they peel the bark off these trees.

I need some leg armor. Not that this has anything to do with trail conditions. I just seem to have a knack for grinding my shins up good. This was taken the same day.
