Juice, The Cross-Platform Podcast Receiver Overview

I just posted about Juice yesterday and decided it deserved a overview of it’s own as I didn’t explain how it works very well in my last post.
Juice is a cross platform podcast receiver that works with Windows and Mac. It reminds me a lot of the Azureus Bit Torrent Client interface. Juice is very user friendly in the, “ease of use”, category. Listed below are the individual tabs within this client that I’ll explain now.
Subscriptions

Here’s where you keep track of the padcasts you subscribe to. You can find new podcasts using the built in podcast directory or by using a podcast rss service such as Podcast Alley.
Downloads

In the downloads tab you can watch and keep track of the podcasts you are downloading.
Directories

Here’s the first place to go to find live podcasts. There is a decent group here, but I prefer online podcast directories as they seem to have a larger group of shows to choose from.
Clean Up

With the clean up tab you can remove old or downloaded podcasts as well as unsubscribe from shows that didn’t float your boat.
Scheduler

The scheduler is just what the name says. Here you can set when you want Juice to grab the latest podcast releases. This can also be done manually in the subscriptions tab as well.
All in all I give Juice 8 out of ten stars. There’s still a little room for improvement, but they have a solid release on their hands right now.
