As a Technical UX Architect my background is different from most. While disciplines such as UX, AEO, SEO, website development, website performance optimization, graphic design, and prototyping traditionally belong to different people or groups, I have held positions in each and possess a vast eclectic knowledge of all the above and more. By integrating elements that are typically handled in isolation, I bridge domains where each brings its own unique requirements and constraints. This holistic approach delivers stronger, more durable solutions while ensuring your project stays ahead and is built for what comes next.

FCA Product Design Office
In the role of visual prototype developer and software designer within the User Experience group at the Product Design Office (PDO), complex digital concepts were translated into high-fidelity interactive experiences using tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, and HTML. The work centered on next-generation automotive UX that balanced safety, cognitive ergonomics, and driver-focused interactions across software-defined vehicle systems.
Collaboration with Google
This partnership involved intensive design sprints and workshops both at the FCA Product Design Office and on-site at Google Headquarters in Mountain View. Multidisciplinary teams combined automotive safety standards with rapid software prototyping to bridge mobile ecosystems and in-dash architecture, directly informing the development of the Uconnect 5 experience and aligning with emerging Google technologies through ongoing engagement including Google I/O.
Web Portfolio
I wasn’t always a Technical UX Architect. For years, I’ve been crafting digital landscapes through website development, tracing an evolution from my IT origins. My journey began as a graphic designer before I ventured into web design & SEO, shaping online aesthetics. Drawn deeper into the technological abyss, I became a full-fledged web developer, mastering the code that powers the web, and ultimately became a UX designer, orchestrating seamless user experiences.
Airflow Concept
This prototype featured seven synchronized digital screens that delivered a cohesive in-cabin experience across the instrument cluster, head unit, lower controls, passenger display, and rear-seat entertainment. Animations and interactions were powered by a network of Raspberry Pis and Intel NUC mini PCs coordinated through Node.js, creating a seamless story-driven demonstration of the Chrysler Airflow Concept shown at CES.
Portal Concept
As a member of the User Experience team within the Product Design Office at Chrysler, this project focused on shaping the Uconnect 5 in-vehicle system. It represented the culmination of extensive research, rigorous testing, and global cross-functional collaboration, resulting in the forward-looking Chrysler Portal Concept unveiled at major industry events.

Key Initiatives & Projects

The web development initiative Project Phoenix is based on three core principles: Answer Engine Optimization, Website Performance, and User Experience. The Bird Brain Initiative focuses on agentic harmony with code written specifically for the second user, AI.
A second website comprised of machine-readable code is generated as the website behind the website, engineered specifically for LLMs. In addition to the machine-readable code, a proprietary schema-based skeleton is designed for optimum Answer Engine Optimization. Agentic answer-first blog posts, written using the military-inspired B.L.U.F. method, are standard for providing citable, Position Zero optimized content for inclusion in featured snippets.
NateBal.com is rigorously tested against Google PageSpeed Insights to ensure a constant PSI that remains in the green across the board. Website performance is paramount. Scripts are scrutinized and optimized for screaming-fast delivery and performance. Images are optimized and saved in modern formats (WebP and SVG) for adaptability, size, and quality.
Glassmorphism web design was implemented for a modern, aesthetic experience for the end user. NateBal.com’s glassmorphic design is CSS-animated and optimized for optimum usability and maximum deliverability. The mobile-first design, based in dark mode, reduces eye strain and is built with mobile-device-specific media queries to provide a gracefully degraded version for phones, tablets, and beyond. This site is engineered in code to rank intentionally by design.
